Hello! My name is DEMETRIUS HOWARD (aka Mookie). I am a mother of 2, grandmother of 4, and loving wife for 23 years. I began sewing in middle school by creating handmade shorts for myself and friends to attend school picnics.

Upon entering high school, I temporarily stopped sewing due to other interests. However, my passion for creativity directed me to make personalized invitations, bookmarks, and other custom documents. As I returned to my first love, sewing, I also sought other business ventures such as personalized T-shirts and wineglasses. Soon after, I got obsessed with sublimation and now I sell all things with sublimation including t-shirts, coffee cups, tall tumblers etc., with aspirations to do more.

Now back to sewing: I returned to sewing in 2017. Since then, I started my “DIY Instagram Sewing Page called “DHSewnCreations”. IG has introduced me to fellow creators from everywhere, all with a love for sewing. In 2019, I stepped out on faith and resigned from my job to teach a beginner’s sewing class. As business grew, I converted my garage into a sewing classroom; thankfully, it’s a success!

Now “Sip & Sew On The Go” is my newest business venture. Yes, I will bring the Sewing Party to you! My dream is to soon have a sewing studio store front and I believe with GOD all things are possible! My love for sewing has land me a feature (or should I say several features) in a sewing magazine called “SEWNMAG”. “SEWNMAG” magazine is a major highlight in my life.
